From tomorrow, 22nd April 2026, the rules regarding pet passports have changed (with 5 days notice!).
The new rule is that pet passports issued to persons who’s main residence is the UK and NOT the EU, cease to be valid immediately.
We know a number of clients have passports as they have a holiday home/relative’s address they have used in the EU.
If you are travelling to Europe you will require an Animal Health Certificate, even if the pet passport has ongoing validity.
We’d hate this to spoil your holiday plans, almost as much as vets hate doing AHCs!
